Ground-breaking ceremonies were held last week for the construction of a new 20-storey commercial office tower in Motijheel, Dhaka's central business district.
The project, commissioned by a leading corporate group, will feature approximately 150,000 square feet of Grade-A office space spread across 18 floors, with two floors dedicated to retail and dining outlets at the podium level.
Green Harbor Construction has been appointed as the main contractor for the project, following a competitive bidding process that saw several prominent construction firms participate.
"The Motijheel commercial tower represents a significant investment in Bangladesh's growing corporate real estate sector," explained the Chief Engineer. "We are integrating the latest structural engineering techniques to ensure both safety and aesthetic excellence."
The building will be equipped with high-speed elevators, a centralized building management system, and solar panels on the rooftop capable of generating 15% of the building's energy needs. Completion is scheduled for the second quarter of 2026.
